Founded in 2021 by Hakuba locals and long-time friends Azuma Tanaka and Yu Taguchi, Hakuba Craft has a simple mission: to create a deliciously memorable Hakuba souvenir. In its short lifetime, the brewery has grown into one of the most popular in the area, cemented by the recent opening of Hakuba Beer Garage, a brewpub in Tsugaike.
Hakuba Craft combines local appreciation (five out of seven employees were born and raised in the Hakuba Valley) and exceptional Japanese brewing techniques to create beers perfectly suited to the alpine lifestyle.

While current production is relatively small and caters to the Hakuba community, Hakuba Craft has set an ambitious target to increase capacity tenfold over the next five years.
